I went to the cram school with my son yesterday. While waiting for him, I shot the breeze with some girls there. Fancy that, they went to the same high school as I did. When being asked about their favorite books, they said: “the Book of Songs”,“Twenty-Four Histories”……Oh, my. This really shocked me, “Why do you guys like such kind of historical books?” “For interest.” they stared at me in disbelief. “it’s quite different from me,” I muttered. History seemed boring to me when I was in high school. I hated to remember the time of the events and didn’t think it’s useful at all. Maybe the students today are getting stronger generation by generation. Who knows? My son has just finished reading“Wolf Totem” recently, however, the book is a headache to me. And now he boned up on “Harry potter”, one book a day, it seems crazy, isn’t it?
Times change, I know that, I’m past my peak haha |
