B: Jump in and get your feet wet.
(get one’s feet wet的意思是“参与,开始做”,与中文里的“涉足”或“下海”寓意相同,表示初尝某事。)
Situational Dialogue 3
A: Mom, can you lend me some money?
B: You should stand on your own feet.
(stand on one’s own feet意思是“自立,独立”。)
